Your Portrait Questions, Answered

We discuss what you are looking for in a commissioned portrait. Some things to think about…Who will be in the portrait? A head and shoulders or full length? What is the size of the canvas going to be? It’s up to you! Will your portrait hang over the mantel in a home? Or an office? Will we be doing a photo shoot or multiple live sittings? What to wear for the sitting?

Schedule a day with Lisa to meet the subject(s) and make photo references to paint the portrait.
If working from life, Lisa will need one to several sitting sessions to paint the subject(s), with some finishing completed in the studio from photos.

Mornings and late afternoons have the best light for photos. Lisa will go to a place of your choosing or can travel to your home or office and take lots of photos and get some marvelous shots to work from.

Lisa will meet you either in her studio in Senoia, Georgia, or place of your choosing and paint your portrait from life in combination with photos taken during the session, finished in her studio. This will require one to several posing sessions.

Prices can vary based on size and number of subjects, head and shoulders only, ¾ pose, or full length. Shipping and travel outside the metro Atlanta area are not included. Please contact for a custom quote.

Once the parameters of your project are agreed upon, you will receive a contract to sign via email and a 40% deposit will be due at that time. The remaining balance is due upon approval of the portrait.
Payment types accepted: All the usual credit types that Squarespace accepts, including Visa, MC, Amex, Apple Pay, as well as PayPal, Cashapp, or Venmo. A link will be sent to you via email or text to make the payment(s).

Allow 3 to 6 months for finishing the portrait. This gives the artist time to properly complete the portrait to the artist’s and client’s satisfaction.
